Case Study - SONY PICTURES | DAVID ALABA

CHALLENGE: For the new, third part of the BAD BOYS saga, SONY is looking for a credible duo to shoot an advertising campaign for the film's release in Germany, together with the two main actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

SOLUTION

We produce with SONY PICTURES a video in green screen in front of the original BAD BOYS film set and let David and Kingsley perform the BAD BOYS - title song. In return Martin Lawrence and Will Smith sing their version of the FC Bayern Munich - anthem "Star of the South". The result is a one-minute clip, in which the two teams asked each other who had done it better. The finished clip is played on the social media channels of the players as well as on SONY's own channels. The media response is enormous - BILD-Zeitung, Goal.com and also all media in Austria reported it and on social media the clip goes viral.

Kingsley Coman also attended the film premiere in Berlin including a red-carpet performance at the Zoo Palast. There he met Will and Martin, where he handed out jerseys of him and David - David Alaba joined the meeting via FaceTime call. We have used recordings from this for high-quality BTS material and have share it on the player channels. The clip of the FaceTime call goes viral and makes it to the big Instagram soccer sites like 433 and SportBible.
